People sometimes say classical music is boring because it’s always the same thing over and over again. Well, it can still be nice to listen to, but a real treat is when somebody comes along and does your favorite piece of music perfectly.
This is why it was so remarkable when a high school orchestra mastered Rimsky-Korsakov’s difficult Scheherazade.
Recently a German philharmonic orchestra absolutely nailed what’s probably the world’s favorite piece of classical music – Ravel’s “Boléro.”
What’s more, they know they’ve got it – look at the smiles on their faces as they play!
