The Fantastic Airship, or the Nightmare of an Inventor (1906)

Le Dirigeable Fantastique ou le Cauchemar d’un Inventeur, by cinemagician George Méliès (that’s him as the scientist), is one of the first color films. It was hand-colored and is still quite pretty today.

The Internet Archive has a slightly better print, but Diane Marie Kloba has made this 108-year-old film into a music video! (click on the YouTube logo for more information)

Silent films – they never really go out of style.

By the way, The Fantastic Airship is also mentioned The Extraordinary Voyage (2011).
