An update

It has been a busy week, both in the “day job” of medical transcription and in setting up the new “wonder” website (24 days to go!). It’s the little details, like setting up policies, site maps, etc., that really take a surprising amount of time.

Tomorrow I plan to finish out the year in Civil War anniversary posts, scheduling each on the appropriate Monday (and adding an extra day in the last one to tuck in the 31st). Also on the 31st will be a year’s end wrap-up.

I would like to also do at least one post on slavery/emancipation, but to do that right will require more time than I can spend on it right now. Presumably both North and South did go into winter camps for at least January and February, and if the timeline slows down then, I can get to that.

I am going to share a couple of beautiful Christmas posts from other blogs, one from Virginia and one from rural Oxford County in Ontario, Canada. This is my first attempt at reblogging, so I wanted to give you all fair warning before trying it. (g)

Thank you to everybody for your interest. Happy Holidays, one and all!
