Today’s a day off, but I spent most of it working on the new website, Flight to Wonder.
It’s the first time I’ve used professional images (only 2), and I had to figure out how to protect them, which meant I had to figure out how to put invisible watermarks on them, using GIMP. With the help of a couple of YouTube videos and some creative figuring, got that done all right.
I’m probably losing quite a bit of impact by basing most of this on the standard WordPress blog themes (rather than downloading the WordPress software and doing everything by hand), but they do make it so easy for a noobie like me. There is a surprising amount of flexibility built into these themes, too, if you look carefully for the right one. I made sure there was a CSS capability, so that maximum customization was available, but so far I haven’t had to use it.
Comments aren’t yet enabled at the site, but any suggestions, likes and dislikes about it are most certainly welcome here.
Again, thank you for your interest!
