Up here in the Northeast, it takes an awfully long while for spring to come on. This winter hasn’t been a bad one – not much snow and the ground hasn’t even frozen.
Today while walking around, though, I saw something that made me positively giddy:
Those new daffodils or narcissus sprouts were sharing an otherwise blank patch of dirt in a garden bed with a single crocus:
At least I think it’s a crocus. Too early, for up here, but it’s a sign: Spring’s a coming!
