Life is like that

Two images of milkweed plants this season that I took with my little Canon digital camera have given me, surprisingly, a better insight into The First Noble Truth, perhaps because I’m quite open to it as I get more and more into the aging end of a human life.

We start out generally like this:

Milkweed bloom from early July

Life star: Milkweed bloom from early July

Yet it always comes down to this:

Milkweed in late October

The ragged end: Milkweed in late October

Life is like that, always changing.

Which of the six types of feeling (pleasant, neutral and unpleasant worldly feelings; pleasant, neutral and unpleasant unworldly feelings) can you hold onto for long while looking at these pictures?

Me neither.
